Tantramar is a welcoming community, ready to offer security, inclusion and respect to displaced persons. Our culture is clearly Canadian with a desire to engage with new people whose lives we can positively impact and will grow with us.
Our community has already received a few families from Ukraine. Some with family connections in Tantramar and others who made their first connection through organizations who connect displaced persons with Canadians who offer opportunities to relocate in their community. The needs are diverse and sometimes minimal so with acceptance and empathy we equip our new Ukrainian neighbours to assist their countrymen who come after them.
If you are already a member of the community of Tantramar and you wish to contribute to the growth of our culture with the experiences of new immigrants, there are many support opportunities.

- We have a local depot for donating household items, which will help alleviate the financial burden of furnishing the homes of new immigrants.
- Financial donations will go towards meeting the local needs of new immigrants and to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Our team
The Tantramar Immigration Support Team is made of members from various organizations in the community.
We have representation from the Church by the Lake, Mount Allison University and the Mount Allison University Student Union, The Ukrainian Club of Moncton, as well as active members of our community who have roles in other volunteer organizations.
Some of our members are from Ukraine and have lived in Tantramar for many years so they have worked through the life changes that come with relocation. Others are new to Tantramar but life long Canadian citizens and they see the benefits in our community that we sometimes forget about once we are settled and comfortable.
