We have a local depot in Sackville where we are collecting household items. The donations are transported to Moncton where the Ukrainian Club of Moncton has a building to manage and redistribute them.
As a community we are identifying employment opportunities for new immigrants who are looking for work and to get established in a new career. In some cases other supports are necessary to make employment possible such as language training, transportation, and recertification for professionals who have credentials not recognized in Canada.
These supports will help newcomers become established in our community but more than this we want to make friends with our new neighbours and ensure they have friends in our community that will help them enjoy a predictable life with all the benefits we have come to enjoy in this healthy community.
